Paradise is not a place, it's a state of mind...

30 november 2018 - Puerto Arista, Mexico

In the weekend of the first of December the children went home to their parents or foster parents. That meant that we, the volunteers, had a free weekend as well. I heard from some people in Tuxtla that I needed to go to the beach in Puerto Arista. After looking into this option, I really wanted to go there.

It was just the perfect place to find peace of mind. I agree with the quote I used as a title of this post, but I do think some places can help you better to reach that state of mind. Puerto Arista is definitely one of them. Beautiful seeside, not to many people, coconut trees, no trash on the beach, falling asleep in my tent with the sound of the see washing up on the beach as my companion, waking up and jumping into the see to start the day, going for a run at the beach at sunset admiring pink clouds and seeing frigate birds and albatrosses soaring over the water to find a fish, reading the 'The Tao of Pooh' by B. Hoff on the beach, having a fresh pineapple as breakfast, making some delicious guacamole myself, building a friendship with a mother cat and her three fluffy babies, having some philosophical conversations with Yanik and Giovanni over a beer... Sounds good doesn't it. :) It was. :)

Pictures say more than words, so please do dream away in the fotosection of my blog.

Sunny greetings,

B. Supertramp
